A biomass combustion plant for electricity and heat production
The biomass power plant with a 4.87 MWe output of electricity and 8.50 MWt of heat supplies electricity under contracts to distribution networks and uses the heat to dry pellets. In August 2018, a 3-month trial run of the power plant began, followed by standard production that was ongoing throughout 2019. The renewable source produces electricity, which it delivers to the distribution network.
The biomass combustion power plant producing heat and electricity was the first launched power plant of its kind in the GEEN group portfolio.
